The Apple Day 2021

The Apple Day 2021

The Appeldag 2021 will be held on Thursday, July 8, 2021. On behalf of all participating parties we strive for a pleasant gathering where we as a sector can meet each other again and gain new knowledge! FruitSecurity Holland and FS Europe find the meeting very important and are therefore the gold sponsor of the Appeldag.

FruitSecurity Holland can be found at stand number 41.

The organisers of 'De Appeldag' are Delphy and the NFO organisation in the middle of the Netherlands. The Appeldag is not only a day for apple growers, but also for perry growers. The theme of the day is national and international developments in the field of apple and pear growing. Besides the focus on apple and pear cultivation, various innovations for the fruit industry will be discussed. These include the digitalization of fruit cultivation, mechanization and various cultivation applications including canopies. Dé Appeldag is in short a study day about the cultivation of apples and pears

Location

Dé Appeldag 2021 will be held at fruitbedrijf Van den Brink, Tuurdijk 43, `t Goy. Fruitbedrijf Van Den Brink is a cultivation, storage and sorting company with recently expanded storage and sorting facilities.

Corona guidelines

From the press conference on Friday evening (18-6-2021) it has become clear that there will be many relaxations regarding the Corona Guidelines of June 28. This makes it possible for the organization to relax and/or withdraw previously set guidelines. The organization is happy with this, but of course wants to emphasize a number of issues surrounding the Corona measures.

Do you feel unwell on the day itself, feverish or similar symptoms? Then obviously stay home or take a test. The organization relies on everyone's responsibility to make Apple Day a joint success.

In short, the following guidelines apply:

  • Keeping 1.5 meters distance remains the basis. Please take responsibility in this regard.
  • Because 1.5 meter distance is feasible given the available space, no mouth guard requirement applies.
  • Access registration remains mandatory via www.delphy.nl/appeldag
    • Registration on site is possible but will slow down the flow.
  • The usual questions regarding health and Corona will be asked at the entrance.
  • We would like to state explicitly that smoking and fog cannons are prohibited inside. This is in connection with the indoor fire alarm system.
