Filled gravel sleeves

The filled gravel sleeve is the practical and reliable solution for closing orchard coverings with hail nets, insect nets or bird nets.
Thanks to their weight and size, gravel sleeves ensure a completely bird- and insect-proof closure while also protecting the nets from damage.

Each sleeve is filled with fine gravel, weighs approx. 20 kg, and measures 120 x 27 cm.
Compared to sandbags or sand sleeves, gravel sleeves are more ergonomic and easier to handle.
Where sand can vary in weight due to rain, gravel remains stable and consistent, making these sleeves more reliable in daily use.

Application in fruit growing
The number of gravel sleeves required depends on the type of covering and net:

• Bird net: every 6.0 metres
• Hail net: every 4.0 metres
• Insect net: every 1.5 metres

For the corners of the system, we recommend 4 gravel sleeves per corner.

Delivery and shipping
The gravel sleeves are supplied exclusively in big bags of 60 pieces. Shipping costs depend on the number of big bags. For a single big bag, the average shipping cost is €80, while for larger orders (e.g. 10 big bags) the cost drops to an average of €40 per big bag.
