Turtle Car Cover

The Turtle Car Canopy System is an innovative solution for the automotive industry. The Turtle Car system has been specifically developed as a hail net over cars. The cars can easily be placed under the system. Also, it is always possible to view the cars with an auto canopy.

The cars are protected under arches with a specially developed hail net that protects cars from hail. But also against insects, birds and sunlight. The canopy reduces the direct radiation of the sun onto the car, thus protecting the paintwork, rubber and other plastic parts. When rolled down, the Turtle system is bird and insect resistant up to 30 cm off the ground. In practice, this means less dust and dirt from outside.

Hail protection

Due to the special design of the arch, no hail remains on the system and the hail nets. The shape of the construction draws the energy out of the hailstones and the hard rain.

Car protection hail nets

The daily operation is very simple and practical. The hail nets can be pushed up by hand in order to achieve the required clearance height. Because in the 'normal' position of the system, the hail net is stretched downwards with a special elastic system. A prerequisite for the Turtle mobile roofing system is that the hail net is not rolled up in winter.

Technical description

The total height of the system is 3.2m. The height is negotiable. The hail net automatically takes its shape due to the rounded top. In the event of hail or a heavy load, the hail net can move a little. Depending on the type of Turtle car roof, the entrance height can vary from 1.8m to 2.0m.

The standard diameter of the arches is 5.0 metres. An arch is placed every 5.0 metres for shape stability. An arch diameter of 4.5m to 6.0m is possible. The distance between the arcs should not exceed 6.0m.

The construction is carried out using steel round tops (galvanised), steel cables and steel wire.
