Hail net Wiesel Crystal 2.8 m – PEHD hail net with 2.8 × 8.7 mm mesh | High KLY rating
The Wiesel Crystal 2.8 m hail net is made from high-density polyethylene (PEHD) and features full U.V. stabilization. With a mesh size of 2.8 × 8.7 mm, it provides reliable protection against hail and harsh weather conditions. The net can be supplied in any required width or length and is available in crystal, black and grey.
KLY rating
The crystal-coloured Wiesel hail net has a KLY rating of 950. In the Netherlands, the average annual exposure is around 80 KLY. U.V. stabilisers significantly slow down the ageing process of PEHD plastic, resulting in a practical lifespan of 10–15 years.
While a higher KLY rating increases durability, excessive stabilisers can make the net stiffer, causing individual threads to break under strong wind loads.

Strength
Each individual thread has a tensile strength of 3.5 kg, equal to approximately 112 kg per metre width. The thread diameter is 0.32 mm. Theoretically, the woven structure is strong enough to create a hammock.
